This September, music will be taking over 600 Oak Avenue in Saint-Lambert.

Five years after its debut, Solarium presents its third show, drawn from the album Solarium III. On this third opus—arguably the quartet’s most accomplished—jazz brilliantly intertwines with folk song through irresistible melodies, while borrowing the liveliest rhythms from traditional Québécois music. This blend of genres creates something new and original, sure to appeal to audiences from all walks of life.

Founded in 2003 by Marie-Anne Rozankovic, Les Chambristes du Grand Montréal is an ensemble of four versatile and dynamic female musicians offering a varied and eclectic repertoire, ranging from Classical to Jazz.

From string quartet to chamber orchestra, Les Chambristes du Grand Montréal is a flexible string ensemble that allows audiences to discover music from the Baroque period to the present day.

It's the culmination of a genre all their own, a new album that not only blends the two styles, but also creates something new and exciting from the legacy of jazz and folk song, all with great respect for the audience.

The Four Seasons, written in 1725, Vivaldi’s timeless masterpiece, is a must-have in the classical repertoire. From the opening, the choreography will transport you to the beauty and sounds of Vivaldi’s Spring. Inspired by the Four Seasons, composer Max Richter propels us back in time. His modern approach reveals the work from a new angle that allows for a sublime fusion of classical, contemporary and electronic music. These works will transport you to a world rich in colour and emotion. 

In the Jazz and Strings series, the Chambristes du Grand Montréal will transport you to the jazz universe of Duke Ellington, Alice Coltrane, George Gershwin and Johnny Mandel, to offer a sublime blend that combines the string quartet with a rhythm section and guest soloists, virtuosos of the Montreal jazz scene.
