The versatile career of an emerging musician

Graduating in jazz singing interpretation at McGill University, Zoe Jean-Deslauriers took piano and voice lessons at the Conservatoire de musique de la Montérégie from 2010 to 2014. One of her fondest memories of the Conservatory is certainly her performance in 2014 at the Classica Festival on the emerging stage, accompanied by a string quartet, the Montérégie Quartet, a magical moment that she will never forget. It is his love for music, as well as the dedication of his various teachers at the Conservatory, including Jeanne Paquet and Ellen Wieser in singing, as well as Marie-Fatima Rudolph and Geoffroy Doyon in classical piano and jazz, that made her want to continue study music at the Vincent-d'Indy School of Music. After a double DEC in jazz singing and humanities classes, Zoe continued her studies in jazz singing at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. She received several scholarships during her studies, including one from the Conservatoire de musique de la Montérégie. The studies, filled with great encounters, allowed her to perform in groups, bars, such as Upstairs, Dièse Onze, and Café Résonance, in festivals, and corporate events.
